Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on 2 July 2026.
I am working to make savchyn-design.com accessible to people with disabilities, following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as orientation.
What web accessibility is
An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.
Accessibility adjustments on this site
- The site language is declared, and pages use a clear, semantic heading structure
- Content follows a logical reading and navigation order, usable by keyboard
- Meaningful images carry alternative text; decorative media is hidden from screen readers
- Colour combinations of text and background meet the required contrast ratios
- Animations and auto-playing motion are disabled for visitors with a "reduced motion" system setting
- Videos are muted background media and convey no essential information by sound alone
- Interactive controls (menu, password form) expose their state to assistive technologies
Partial compliance due to third-party content
Some pages embed interactive third-party content (3D scenes, live tool demos on Netlify, Spline). The accessibility of this embedded content depends on its providers, and full accessibility cannot be guaranteed there. The surrounding page content remains fully accessible without these embeds.
